The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is a publicly funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. The DAAD supports more than 100,000 German and international students and researchers around the globe each year. DAAD scholarships are aimed primarily at graduates, doctoral students, and postdocs. The scholarships usually consist of tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, and a flat-rate travel allowance. In many cases, health, accident, and personal liability insurance is covered
