The DAAD Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) Professional Germany offers summer research internships in Germany for Master's and Ph.D. students from North America, Great Britain, and Ireland. Summer internships are conducted at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry. tudents are matched with doctoral students and researchers at German institutions, who serve as their mentors. Students receive a monthly living stipend and a travel allowance for the 3-dy RISE meeting in Heidelberg.

Scholarship Amount

Eligibility

• Be currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program at a North American, British, or Irish university in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, earth science, engineering, or a closely related field
• German language requirements depend on the nature of the internship. Some will require at least an intermediate level of German language skills while others require none at all
